Here's a more quantitative description based on the survey of many employees from the mid-2010s.
How was culture measured?
Back in mid 2010s, before Microsoft axed all training for employees and relied solely on LinkedIn, Microsoft used GlobeSmart.
From the screenshot below you can see what the typical profile is of over 20K+ employees, or over 10%. Whether 10% is representative or not, I will let you decide. Based on my own experience, it is dead-on.

Do I belong at Microsoft?
From the profile, you can see I am, or was, the complete opposite to what the typical culture of Microsoft was like. You can say I do not fit, or you could argue the reason I was incredibly successful for 15+ years at Microsoft is precisely because I do not fit the mold.
Is Microsoft the same globally?
No, Microsoft culture varies between countries globally. To my surprise I aligned most with Microsoft in Singapore. I definitely did not belong to the mothership in Redmond, WA.

Takeaway
There's a difference between company cultural fit and country-specific cultures. Company culture does not require alignment of both. A good fit for the company may not always mean company cultural alignment. I think the opposite of company cultural alignment may serve the company better. There would be a bunch of "yes men" if there is not as much objectivity and/or difference in opinion.
