Trip.com is more transparent upfront about taxes and fees, and cashback. Agoda is more of a black box even when you finally see what the cost is and penalizes you for small cashback redemptions.

Trip.com
Trip.com shows you the prices before you get to checkout. The screenshot below is when you're viewing a room.
You can also clearly see the number of Trip Coins you'll earn and the computed value in your currency. Trip Coins are earned when you pay upfront.

Agoda
Agoda doesn't tell you much about taxes until you go to checkout, and even then, you'll have to do the math yourself.

Agoda gives you your Cashback a whopping 60 days after check-out AND penalizes you for redemptions under USD 10.

Takeaway
Trip.com is super in many ways when compared to Agoda. Oh, and I didn't even mention the prices, which are lower most of the time. In the example above it is about USD 450 less on Trip.com
